Since 1989 Brent and Lisa Morrison have been the managing directors of Petersens Jewellers. Brent originally trained as a manufacturing jeweller and took over the business from his father. Today, Brent holds a Gemmologist Institute of America Diamond Grading Certificate and is a past New Zealand Jewellers and Watchmakers Canterbury Branch Chairman. Brent also travels throughout the world sourcing the best quality jewellery for his customers and over the last 14 years he has made regular trips to Antwerp, Belgium, the diamond capital of the world, where he hand selects exquisite diamonds for custom made rings.
Renowned as the diamond and engagement ring specialists, Petersens in the Bush Inn Centre boasts a range of pristine diamond, engagement, solitaire and three stones rings for all occasions. Petersens also makes custom made bespoke pieces for clients who are after something in particular. Petersens Jewellers is a member of the Nationwide Jewellers, Australasia's largest jewellery group. Petersens was the first New Zealand jeweller to win the Member of the Year award, an award Petersens has now won twice.
